In 1998, the TV mini series, Merlin, staring Sam Neill, who played the infamous and intriguing Merlin the Magician, brilliantly captured the Arthurian legend. In one of the most memorable scenes, Merlin speaks to the fairy queen, played by the versatile Helena Bonham Carter. He essentially told the Queen, her “time” had come. The gist was, “No one is going to invest in your stories, mischief and magic,” Merlin says. “We are going to ignore you Maeve. No one is going to think about you, “believe” in you. Time and history are changing. We are putting our faith elsewhere. ” The camera angle indicated the fairy queen shrinking, disappearing, as the focus shifted away, her time as such, now in the mists of myth.
This is a valuable example of the “nature of reality.” Quantum physics speaks to the same thing. Variable results happen in experiments based solely on the viewer’s perception of the event. In other words, with no one believing in the Fairy Queen her immense power disappears into the annals of forgotten history. Humanity’s beliefs move beyond the mystical and shifts focus to organized religion. Attention changes. Energy placed elsewhere. Think about it. All gods die. What was reality 4000 years ago wasn’t applicable 2000 years later or now. Egypt is a prime example of this. We don’t honor and venerate Ra and Horus as our chiefs gods. Or Ishtar, Enki, Odin, Zeus, Athena, Neptune. Critics will proclaim our most recent gods as the only real ones, however, declare that to a high Roman 2500 years ago, and you’d be thrown in the squalid dungeons. Remember those civilizations lasted thousands of years as did their religions. Our experiences change. Perceptions and beliefs change. Alter.
Imagine a “what if” scenario. What if there were another global cataclysm? What would future archeologists say several hundred or thousand years after the event when excavating the ruins of this world, this timeframe? “What is this “cross?” I wonder what the symbology means? The four directions? Perhaps ~ above, below, all around? They’re similar to ones dedicated to the Mother Goddess, 5000 years previously, perhaps these symbols are dedicated to the continuation of the goddess? Or are they for mere decoration?” Hmmmm. Interesting to contemplate.
See how easy it is to change the past by seeing it through the lens of the present?
Myths transform. Stories end. Religions change. Our awareness expands.
What does this mean? It means life, “reality,” changes solely, because of our perceptions. Beliefs. Constructs. How we see and perceive any situation. Where we place value. Even our religions are based on group consciousness, group beliefs, perceptions based on shared experiences. We literally construct solid form around our belief patterns; churches, synagogues, mosques, cairns, effigies in stone.
Our reality is continuing to expand, grow, change. Consciousness is evolving. Our sense of what is real, true, honest and right for each of us is shifting, becoming more broad and encompassing.
From my perspective, in relation to religions, the concept of a “God” doesn’t cover it anymore, isn’t broad enough. The label of “God” is too limiting. Why? Because our awareness is bigger, more vast in understanding, our universe beyond our wildest expectations. Science has helped us seek grander answers to our questions; this is where science and spirituality merge. God applies to this world, our planet. In another galaxy, on another planet, the construct will be completely different. Another Thor, a different Buddha. A varying reality.
What fits better from my reality, and that’s key, “my” reality, is “Divine Consciousness,” a larger more complex energetic frequency that lovingly unifies and expands the universe.
Cosmic sunshine to you.
